ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Portfolio and property level accounting reviewer of all investments’ monthly financial reporting packages from joint venture partners and third-party property managers

• Collaborate with the data team to review and manage accounting and financial performance data for Pennybacker Alpha, the firm’s internal investment software, while also helping to develop financial tools that automate and improve reporting processes

• Compile accounting information and conduct detailed financial and real estate data analyses in response to quarterly data-intensive institutional reporting and ad-hoc requests

• Maintain portfolio accounting and performance documents required for the annual audit

• Coordinate with the joint venture partners to receive all information required by the tax preparers

• Analyze construction/development agreements and prepare construction management fee calculations

• Collaborate with the portfolio optimization team and third-party valuation provider to ensure accurate and timely quarterly valuations
• Serve as the liaison with the credit servicer and assist in the oversight of performing credit investments

QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Experience

• Degree in a relevant field such as accounting or finance or equivalent experience
• 2 years relevant work experience, preferably in public accounting and/or real estate accounting
