This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.
General Summary of Duties : Coordination of patient care includes, but not limited to, patient scheduling and insurance verification.
As a member of SouthernMED's Patient Services Call Center Team, the position's primary focus is to ensure a positive patient experience by demonstrating quality customer service skills when answering a high volume of phone calls on a daily basis.
Major Responsibilities
- Answering phone calls and scheduling patient appointments for 30 providers located at eleven (11) pediatric offices in SC
- Verifying insurance on various websites and portals
- Communication to sites regarding patient care
- Filling in for front desk employees at various sites as needed
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a medical setting preferred
- Professional phone etiquette is a must
- Professional and courteous demeanor is a must
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Call Center experience is preferred, but not required
