ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Reviews eligibility report daily for the Pickens location and works all accounts where eligibility is incomplete, inactive, or unverified.
   1. Corrects insurance to get a successful eligibility, when possible.
   2. Inactivates inactive insurances.
   3. Adds correct insurance, if available
   4. Contacts patients when necessary
2. Verifies patient credits and generates account alerts for front desk.
3. Reviews all patient balances prior to their appointment and alerts front desk of balances to collect
4. Weekly transfers
5. Opens Mail Daily
   1. Distributes mail
   2. Batches patient and insurance payments
   3. Processes all mail-in credit card payments
   4. Enters all information into daily tracking

1. Daily Bank Deposit
2. Posts patient mail in payments
3. Reviews and makes corrections to monthly FA audit
4. Monthly Care Credit Audit
5. Responsible for maintaining multiple departmental reporting.
6. Serves as a secondary back up to pre-cert staff when assistance making pre-payment surgery phone calls.
7. Participates in answering patient phone call rotation
   1. Explain charges and/or balances
   2. Obtain and process patient payments

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. High school diploma or equivalent and 1 to 2 years’ previous experience required.

KNOWLEDGE, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
2. Knowledge basic accounting principles
3. Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
5. Excellent customer service skills
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
7. Knowledge of NextGen preferred
