Southeastern Integrated Care is Hiring a Human Resource Assistant Near Pembroke, NC

Summary:

The HR Assistant is responsible for supporting the Company’s HR department, from coordinating meetings to maintaining employee files and databases. The HR Assistant will also act as a liaison between employees and HR, ensuring smooth communications and prompt resolutions of requests and questions.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting all internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests;
  • Maintaining digital and electronic records of employees;
  • Serving as a point of contact with benefit vendors and administrators;
  • Assisting with the recruitment process;
  • Entering employee benefit deductions, changes and terminations.
  • Assisting with and entering data into the Learning Module system;
  • Assisting with the Performance Management system;
  • Overseeing the completion of compensation and benefit documentation;
  • Assisting with meeting scheduling, interviews, HR events, and maintaining agendas;
  • Assisting with the coordination of training sessions and seminars;
  • Help with the orientation process and updating records of new staff;
  • Producing and submitting reports on general HR activity;
  • Support in HR investigations, termination paperwork, and exit interviews;
  • Assist employees with questions regarding Benefits and Payroll functions;
  • Reconcile monthly benefit invoices;
  • Other duties as assigned.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not oversee staff.


Qualifications:

Education/Experience

  • Graduation from high school or G.E.D. equivalent is required. Associate degree preferred. Prior experience in mental health, social services, and/or healthcare is preferred.
  • One-year minimum related experience and/or training;
  • A combination of education and experience may be acceptable;

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle employee relations with sensitivity;
  • Knowledge of labor law, employment equity regulations, and payroll practices;
  • Full understanding of HR functions and best practices;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Highly computer literate with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace;
  • Experience with ADP or other HR system;
  • Organized with the ability to prioritize and multi-task;
  • Reliable with patience and professionalism;

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • SHRM or HRCI certification preferred;
