At South Valley Care Center, We Love to Care! South Valley Care Center is a privately owned, small, long-term, skilled nursing care facility. We are seeking passionate and motivated Activities Assistant to join our team and make a difference in our residents' lives.

All applicants must have a basic knowledge of speaking, reading, and writing the English language for safety reasons.

The Activities Assistant implements programs designed to promote the residents' overall well-being, including social opportunities. Candidates must be 18 years of age, have a High School diploma or equivalent (GED). Experience in long-term care is a plus. Ideal candidate must be articulate, well organized, responsible, and able to work well under pressure. Flexibility and availability in shift scheduling required, including some evenings, weekends and holidays. Above all, candidates must be respectful and compassionate towards our residents.

Duties will include:

• Conducting activities programs and assisting residents as needed to achieve optimal participation;
• Recording resident participation;
• Assisting with distribution of resident petty cash/expenses and recording daily;
• Communicating any resident changes; incidences, or acute illnesses that reflect on Activities to the Activities Director;
• Supply common areas with self-stimulating Activities (books, music, etc.);
• Assisting with holiday and dining room decorations;
• Accompany residents on outings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
