Position Description: Assist in the daily operation of the camp and camp activities. This is a seasonal summer position and requires spending overnights at camp for the weeks it is in session. Other tasks include:

• Perform general maintenance duties for the grounds and facilities
• Assist with volunteers
• Assist in developing camp programs
• Assist in developing programs for summer camp
• Coordinate summer camp activities
• Assist in the recruiting, hiring, training and supervision of camp staff and volunteers
• Assist with scheduling and record keeping
• Assist with hosting retreat groups
• Assist with orientation of groups using the facilities
• Assist in youth department as needed
• Perform clerical duties as assigned
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Education:

• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
• Some College Courses preferred

Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications:

• Must be of Christian faith

Physical and Other Requirements:

• This position requires frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent walking, standing, bending
• Must be able to pass the pre-employment physical, drug test and background check based on the job description
• Must possess a valid Illinois driver’s license, insurable driving record, and personal vehicle insurance coverage.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
