As a Patient Coordinator, you are the front line staff welcoming new patients into the practice, preparing them for their first visit, and providing administrative support to ensure that their visit runs smoothly. You will ensure that we have the proper paperwork completed, pre-authorizations are completed, and details of the appointments with our physician's assistant are provided to the patient. You will need to be detail-oriented, understand HIPAA regulations and patient privacy, and compassionate.
Responsibilities
•Schedule patients for new patient appointments with our Physician's Assistants
•Ensure completion of all necessary paperwork and pre-authorizations
•Follow protocol for scheduling, referrals, and specialty services
•Follow up with patients in a timely fashion to complete scheduling and medication refill requests
•Communicate to PAs and Therapists regarding patient care
•Ensure the necessary supplies are available on-site
Qualifications
•2 years of experience in customer service or healthcare industry
•Excellent interpersonal communication skills
•Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
•Proficient in using scheduling software and electronic medical records
•Experience or willingness to learn blood pressure checks desired
