South Mountain Creamery is a dairy farm family; we bottle our own milk and make our own butter, and ice cream. We brought the milkman back in 2001 and have been making home deliveries to the DMV area for 20 years and counting! We are currently hiring for a Customer Service Representative. Our legendairy Customer Service team ensures every new and existing customer has the ultimate SMC experience. Our Customer Service team is omniscient and the go-to for staff, customers, and visitors alike!
Duties include but are not limited to:
Providing a great first impression by…
Replying to customer inquiries through email, live chat, and phone calls
Following up with our new customers after delivery
Contacting and re-engaging customers who have not ordered for 60-90 days
Helping with general customer calls, emails, and paperwork
Assisting customers with their accounts, orders, and deliveries
This position will work Monday - Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm*
*shift may require some flexibility in end/start times.
We are looking for a “detail-oriented” someone who also:
Has basic computer knowledge that includes familiarity with word, excel, and outlook
A (minimum of) a 35 wpm type speed is ideal
Is able to learn our Customer Service Software
Will work directly and succinctly with other departments to make sure we are providing the best customer service since bottled milk
Embodies the characteristics of being friendly and professional – whether that be via phone, in person, or via email
Prior customer service experience is a plus – the right person will come in with a sense of responsibility and is a team player.
While this position is mostly sedentary, the incumbent must be able to lift 20-30lbs intermittently and work in a fast-paced environment.
