As a Human System Integration (HSI) Project Manager, you will oversee consulting projects that include recommendations that seamlessly integrate human factors and human-centered design principles. These recommendations ensure that our clients’ products and systems are optimized for human use and provide an exceptional user experience. You will manage the end-to-end project lifecycle while adhering to timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
Primary responsibilities of this role include:

• Plan, organize, and manage project schedules, resources, budgets, and milestones

• Clearly define project objectives, scope, and deliverables in consultation with stakeholders and clients

• Conduct thorough project assessments and risk analyses, and develop mitigation strategies

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and ensure alignment

• Assign tasks, set deadlines, and monitor progress to achieve project milestones

• Coordinate and facilitate effective communication among team members and stakeholders

• Resolve project issues and conflicts promptly and efficiently; escalate issues to senior management when necessary

• Track and report project progress using appropriate tools and techniques

• Leverage project management methodologies and best practices

• Evaluate project outcomes against predefined success criteria and provide recommendations for improvements

• Conduct post-project reviews, document lessons learned, and implement necessary changes

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other internal and external stakeholders

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in project management methodologies

• Plans and participates in meetings, discussion groups, and different types of events to promote project visibility

• Manage project work using agile methods in the client's environment (e.g., Jira, Asana, Smartsheet)

• Connect and articulate product and service offerings and effectively communicate with management and clients

• Contribute and participate in writing company social media postings, including podcasts, blogs, and monthly topics

• Connect with current clients and partners throughout their engagement with Sophic and ensure they receive an exceptional experience

• Effectively communicate with Sophic management and clients

• Assist with scheduling and coordinating meetings

• Monitor customer accounts and needed actions

• Ensure all records are kept up-to-date and are accurate

• Maintain consistent communication regarding weekly plan/weekly status

• Complete assigned training within the required timeframe

• Green Card or US Citizenship Equivalent Required.

Job Qualifications

• Mid-level proven experience, 7 years as a practicing project manager and scrum master

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or business administration

• Highly desired: Experience in Aerospace or Oil & Gas industries; diverse industry experience is a plus

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desired

• Certified Scrum Master is highly desired

• Proficient in project management software and tools, such as Smartsheet, Asana, or similar
