Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of network architecture strategies, encompassing both traditional and software-defined networks
- Manage network projects, plan technological roadmaps, and configure and optimize data, video, and voice services
- Provide technical leadership, guiding the team in achieving network goals
- Implement and support network infrastructure, including security, routing, switching, wireless services, and other network-related tasks
- Mentor, train, and support junior staff members
- Automate network services and processes whenever possible
- Participate in on-call rotations, providing network support, incident management, and troubleshooting
- Collaborate effectively with IT operations, systems engineers, and other teams on projects, problem-solving, and assignments
- Partner with the security team for incident response activities, including experience with relevant security solutions
- Optimize and troubleshoot voice and video communication performance
- Implement and monitor systems to predict capacity and performance issues, ensuring uninterrupted service
- Contribute to operational planning, strategic initiatives, and business continuity/disaster recovery solutions
- Prepare clear and concise business correspondence for recommendations, project support, and customer service
- Independently troubleshoot complex network problems and take initiative to resolve issues without constant supervision
- Travel may be required to both domestic and international offices
- Maintain a flexible work schedule, working from home or in the office as needed
- Perform physical tasks that may involve bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Proven ability to analyze and solve network problems using established techniques and tools
- Experience and knowledge of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) platforms, industry standards, and trends (e.g., Cisco ACI, SD-WAN, Netskope SASE, and DNA Center)
- Five or more years of experience with load balancing technologies (experience with F5 and Kemp is a plus)
- Experience with firewall technologies, including Palo Alto and cloud-based firewall platforms
- Experience with cloud technologies (PaaS, SaaS, IaaS) and Microsoft Azure, including configuring VNets, ExpressRoute, and Microsoft peering
- ITIL certification preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
- Seven or more years of experience designing, configuring, and implementing enterprise-class Cisco networks, supporting QoS, data, video, and voice services
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a high-performing team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in troubleshooting/diagnostic tools, software installation, and maintenance
- Ability to develop and manage plans to achieve objectives and participate in business strategy development
