Job Description:
The A/V Technician is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio/visual equipment at a high-energy nightclub in New York City. This role requires a strong understanding of sound and lighting systems, as well as the ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and efficiently. The A/V Technician will work closely with the club's management team to ensure that all audio and visual elements meet the club's standards for quality and customer experience.
Responsibilities:
Setup and operate audio/visual equipment for live performances and DJ sets
Maintain and troubleshoot audio/visual equipment to ensure optimal performance
Collaborate with the club's management team to plan and execute special events and promotions
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in audio/visual production
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in audio/visual production, preferably in a nightclub or entertainment venue
Strong knowledge of sound and lighting systems
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree or certification in audio/visual production or a related field
Experience with live sound engineering
Familiarity with DJ equipment and software
