Somers West is Hiring a Remote Marketing Manager

Somers West in Sacramento, California has an opening for a Marketing Manager. The Marketing Manager will be an integral part of the real estate development division of SBM Management Services, LP known as Somers West. Somers West is a full-spectrum land developer that breaks from the traditional real estate mindset in that it believes development can and should address some of the most pressing social and environmental challenges such as affordable housing and climate change. The company's projects are focused mainly in California and Hawaii where these challenges are most acute. Somers West is based in Sacramento, California and has invested in real estate for more than 40 years. Development, planning, and construction of communities is always driven by a respect for the land, its history, and the local culture.

As a Marketing Manager for the company, your skills will be relied upon to contribute to the creation and management of visioning, entitling, permitting, and implementing sustainable, and cutting-edge master planned communities and neighborhoods. You will support and significantly contribute to marketing of the successful horizontal and vertical completion of the existing and future builds. The individual in this position will work with a highly motivated, cohesive, problem-solving group of dedicated individuals and professional consultants who develop quality communities, which sustain over time. You must be passionate, entrepreneurial, dedicated to success, and prepare for future leadership roles as the company grows.

This position is envisioned to be held as an outside consultant with a hybrid work arrangement, will include some travel, and have potential for full-time employment status.


Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.

Create and maintain a comprehensive overall marketing program for all assets, including corporate outreach, as well as individual communities.

Coordinate and maximize client relationship management.

Coordinate and control all advertising agency activities.

  • Coordinate and control all market research activities.

Coordinate and control all residential and commercial PR.

Develop and maintain SEO digital and online marketing.

Develop and maintain all builder related information and communications.

Develop and maintain all commercial related information and communications

Coordinate residential and commercial promotional events.

Oversee and manage current and future members of the Somers West Marketing team, which may include staffing, consultants and managing visitor information centers.

Coordinate Quarterly Builder and Sales Personnel Meetings

Maintain schedules, controls, and details of all advertising programs.

Maintain schedules, controls, and details of all specific target marketing campaigns.

Database management of all existing interest lists for all assets.

Assure all programs remain within specific budgets and purchase orders.

Maintain ongoing relations with all builders’ marketing and sales personnel.

Prepare all sales and marketing information reports for dissemination to builders’ sales and marketing personnel.

Coordination and collaboration with builders via regularly scheduled Marketing Meetings and on-going communication with sales management and new home consultants as needed.

Assure all communications between Somers West and outside professionals are properly disseminated and filed.

Maintain accurate and efficient documentation and filing records of all marketing activities.

Maintain and approve marketing invoices, including coding and research in a timely manner.

Leader of Somers West, Braden and Nana Kai community, neighborhood, recreational, and sales promotional events.

Oversee design, creation, installation and maintenance of Master Plan Signage Program.

Interface with other departments, subcontractors/vendors, designers, and advertisers to facilitate meeting deadlines.

Coordination with other Somers West departments to help create Homeowner’s Association documents, organization, and implementation.

Coordination with Finance to provide updated revenue projections and forecasted absorption.

Coordination with Somers West Executive Team to provide materials for speaking engagements to create awareness of assets for both commercial and residential.

Maintain database of potential supporters/partners for use in follow-up as projects move forward.

May be asked to work with other Somers West departments in reviewing architecture, landscape plans, related to Guest Builder or Commercial development.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/ or Experience

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Preferred Minimum 2 years’ experience working in the Real Estate Industry, preferably with overall master planned community or homebuilding focus, or within an Advertising Agency that has that same focus.

Certificates, Licenses, Registration
May be required to have a valid driver’s license.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience, skill, and comfort with public speaking is a benefit.

Strong organization skills

Must be familiar with website, social media, and customer relations management specifics.

Must be able to write and create presentations, draft marketing materials, and communications.
Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as Adobe Acrobat or similar programs.

Self-starter with little supervision needed.

California Motor Vehicle license-unrestricted

Must possess a professional attitude to represent the company in a positive manner.
Compensation: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour
