Lumens is Hiring an Email Marketing Manager Near Sacramento, CA

The Opportunity:

Lumens is looking for an experienced Email Marketing Manager to own the Email and SMS programs. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Digital Marketing and be a key part of the Growth Marketing Department.

The Email Marketing Manager is responsible for the strategy and success of the Email & SMS marketing programs, and for meeting program revenue goals. The person in this role will have a high level of exposure to multiple functions to ensure that email initiatives are launched and completed on time with aligned goals and executed with the highest degree of accuracy and effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a unique mix of technical ability, email/online marketing experience, experience working with cross-functional teams, and project management skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute ongoing email & SMS campaigns to meet revenue goals via a mix of campaign types including conversion, engagement, retention, win-back, browse, cart abandonment and any additional campaigns that may be created.
  • Own the entire process of email & SMS list segmentation and email production.
  • Create, manage, and proofread creative briefs that ensure proper messaging to customers.
  • Accountable for maintaining a good relationship with internal teams and external agencies, excellent communication skills.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments such as merchandising, technology and other company departments.
  • Work with the internal creative team, thoroughly QA and set up emails for sends.
  • Analyze and report on key email metrics: deliverability, open rates, click-through rates, response rates, and revenue generated. Maintain a reporting dashboard.
  • Responsible for list growth, deliverability, and audience segmentation
  • Leverage data to create personalized email campaigns to improve personalization.
  • Create and optimize automated messages.
  • Be a subject matter expert in the capabilities of our email platform to ensure we are using all possible features and find/test new areas of opportunity.
  • Monitor the retail industry’s latest email marketing trends and identify potential email marketing opportunities.
  • Stay up to date with all the best practices, emerging trends, and principles email and SMS programs.
  • Diagnose, identify and be proactive on any issues that may arise within the email strategy and ESP.
  • Develop program strategy to deliver revenue goals.
  • Knowledge of CAN-SPAM Act and CASL for email & SMS.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • 7 years of demonstrated expertise and hands-on experience in email marketing (e-commerce/retail preferred).
  • Experience working directly with an ESP (Listrak, etc.) and analytics tool (Adobe Analytics, etc.).
  • Proven track record of success in developing, initiating, analyzing and adjusting email marketing campaigns including customer acquisition, retention, loyalty and reactivation.
  • Exceptional quantitative skills to analyze email marketing campaign results and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Ability to make data-driven business decisions.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and outstanding attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, entrepreneurial, passionate, proactive, creative and a team player.
  • Ability to flourish in an extremely fast-paced, high-growth environment with minimal direction.
  • Strong relationship building, leadership and project management skills.
  • Experience with high-end, niche, or design-driven markets such as lighting or home furnishings, a plus.

Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000 annually
