Job Description : As a Remote Special Education Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs from the comfort of your own home.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet students' unique learning goals and objectives.
  • Providing direct instruction to students using evidence-based teaching strategies and accommodations.
  • Conducting assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
  • Collaborating with parents, general education teachers, and support staff to ensure student success and inclusion in the general education curriculum.
  • Participating in virtual team meetings, professional development sessions, and parent conferences as required.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid teaching certification or licensure in Special Education in North Carolina.
  • Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in a remote or virtual setting.
  • Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage and motivate students in an online learning environment.
  • Proficiency with virtual learning platforms and technology tools for remote instruction.
