We are seeking a skilled Production Pharmacy Technician to join a closed-door, long-term care pharmacy in Huntington, WV.

This position offers an immediate opportunity for employment with the potential for a contract extension or permanent placement.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 months of pharmacy technician experience, preferably in a retail pharmacy setting.

Job Duties :

1. Data Entry : Accurately enter prescription and patient information into the pharmacy system.

2. Medication Staging : Prepare medications for dispensing by organizing them for the pharmacist's review and verification.

4. E-kit Management : Maintain electronic medication dispensing systems and ensure that they are properly stocked and organized.

5. Pre-packing Medications : Assist in packaging medications into unit-dose or multi-dose packaging for patient use.

6. Inventory Management : Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and restocking medications and supplies.

7. Patient Assistance : Provide assistance to patients at drop-off and pick-up windows, including answering questions, processing payments, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

8. Medication Reconciliation : Assist in medication reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and continuity of care for patients.

9. Compliance : Adhere to all pharmacy regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain compliance with state and federal laws.

10. Team Collaboration : Collaborate with pharmacists, other pharmacy technicians, and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient pharmacy operations and optimal patient care.

Experience :

• Must have at least 6 months of pharmacy technician experience
• Retail pharmacy technicians are ideal for these roles

License : WV pharmacy technician license required
