Overview

Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of an System Engineer Lead for an existing government client. The place of performance is in Alexandria, VA.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the stable operation and efficient performance of the client's enterprise networks and programs, monitoring and managing all aspects of the programs to ensure they meet performance metrics set by the customer.
• Provide leadership, activity planning, coordination, and day-to-day direction as needed to complete the assigned mission of the program, produce the required deliverables, and meet the relevant program milestones.
• Analyze current business practices to identify areas for process improvement and create project management templates to assist in data gathering and research.
• Provide management oversight of all other contract employees.
• Foster a collaborative environment within the organization.
• Work directly with the client program manager and develop an outstanding customer relationship.
• Assess the various groups within the branch and manage a continuous feedback loop for ongoing improvement within the organization.
• Recommend risk mitigation strategies.
• Develop and maintain the staffing plan by performing recruiting and interviewing for new contract personnel.

Qualifications

• A degree in the field of computer science or other IT related discipline is preferred.
• Certified Project management professional (PMP).
• Ten years of technical security, information technology, and managerial experience.
• Solid working knowledge of information technology, technical security systems such as CCTV, alarms, and access control, and security standards.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work independently with little to no oversight.
