System One is Hiring a Systems Engineer, Senior, Data Storage and Backup Near Alexandria, VA

ALTA IT has a Direct Hire Position open for a Systems Engineer located in Warrenton, VA.
Clearance: TS/SCI Location: 100% Onsite, Warrenton, VA
Responsibilities & Duties include, but are not limited to:

Manage and maintain an IT enterprise-centered data storage environment for Virtual Machine environments (Nutanix or VMware) hosting MS Windows servers and Linux environments.
Develop and implement high performance storage solutions for enterprise capabilities in compliance with DISA STIG requirements and data retention policies.
Maintain all physical back-end storage services, and team resources assignments.
Identify and diagnose complex performance, security, and technical issues.

Here's What You'll Need:

Must have active Top Secret clearance with SCI or the ability to acquire Top Secret/SCI
Must possess well-developed verbal and written communication skills
Current DODD 8140/8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) required (such as CCNA Security, Security CE, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP)
Experience leading small teams of 2-3 IT technical staff and supporting integrated project teams
Experience with system engineering documentation creation (operational & service views, network diagrams, data flows, etc.) and developing IT checklists, SOPs, guides, etc.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Ability to travel up to 10%

Minimum Experience:

At least 10 years of IT experience inclusive of the following minimum specific experience:
5 years of experience in managing data storage for Virtual Machine environments (Nutanix or VMware) hosting MS Windows servers and Linux environments
2 years of experience in system administration and storage design applying Commvault 11.x software for data storage backup
2 years of experience as system administrator for HPE data storage products (3PAR and Primera), StoreOnce, and tape back-up systems
Experience solutioning high performance storage designs for enterprise SANs employing Fiber Channel network fabric and hybrid-cloud environments
Commvault Professional Foundations Exam
