The Role:

The Lead Software Engineer will develop and maintain capabilities for existing software products with a focus on applications for Space Domain Awareness / Space Situational Awareness (SDA/SSA). You will be part of a team that is responsible for assessing, maintaining, deploying, and developing new systems in operational, development, and test environments, at multiple security levels. The engineer will work collaboratively with other Application and Infrastructure service providers to implement requirements in support of the customer. 

Essential Functions:

Understanding of designing and implementing scalable and reliable software solutions

Debugging and troubleshooting skills

Interest in working on full stack systems

Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other contractors

Requirements

Active DoD TS or TS/SCI security clearance

A Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior software experience OR a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior software experience. The degree must be in a software engineering related field like Computer Science.

3 Years' Experience developing: Java enterprise applications, JavaScript web applications, and developing in a Linux/Unix environment

3 Years' Experience with Git or similar SCM tool

Preferred Additional Skills:

Experience in Agile software development lifecycle

Practical knowledge of JBOSS or similar Java EE application server

Experience with frameworks such as: React, Angular, Vue, jQuery, or Ext JS

Ability to develop and integrate with RESTful services

Understanding of relational databases like Postgres

Experience with Java EE7 and Groovy highly desired
