Smith Family Law is a growing, fun, and modern firm that practices exclusively family law. Our firm is looking for team players with strong interpersonal skills to take on first chair litigation with training and support in the Austin, Texas area.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Associate Attorney at Smith Family Law. As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal support and handling a wide range of tasks, including running your own docket with support, signing clients up that intake schedules with you, drafting pleadings and motions, litigation, mediation, discovery and trials. First chair experience is ideal, but will consider second chair experience. This is a first chair role.
Qualifications
- Law degree from an accredited institution
- Active license to practice law in Texas
- Prior experience as an Associate Attorney or in a related legal role
- Strong knowledge of family law and legal procedures
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
Experience in a family law firm or with family law cases is strongly preferred. Desire to litigate in the courtroom is required.
