Job Summary: Responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining the IT infrastructure on multiple platforms including cloud-based and data center environments. This role is a key position within technology operations and will be called up to resolve the highest level of technical issues in an efficient and timely manner and ensure all work meets and/or exceeds contractual obligations.
Key Functions/ Basic Duties:
Develop and maintain cloud-based systems, ensuring efficient data storage and adherence to security policies.
Deploys, debugs, and executes initiatives related to cloud computing.
Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on client needs.
Implement security measures such as firewalls, authentication, and encryption.
Responsible for the highest level of performance tuning and recovery procedures for mission critical enterprise systems.
Acquire general working knowledge of relevant contractual obligations for supported lines of business.
Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives
Collaborating with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
Install, configure, and administer multiple VMWare and other virtual server environments.
Manage all DNS and DHCP servers and scopes as well as domain controllers and member servers.
Additional Duties/Ability To:
Be on-call and provide support services during off hours is required.
Perform scheduled night and weekend work is required.
Exhibit flexibility with work hours during software testing, maintenance, and implementation.
Work successfully in a fast-paced environment on multiple project priorities.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Travel on demand or as needed.
Education and/ or Experience:
Azure Commercial and/or Gov experience required.
Terraform experience preferred.
Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a like role or 5 years of experience in a hybrid infrastructure (on-prem & cloud) environment.
Thorough understanding of network protocols and servers, as well as the ability to analyze and diagnose issues quickly and accurately.
In-depth knowledge of server hardware and software.
Experience with system and network performance monitoring tools.
Microsoft services including Office 365 SharePoint, On-Prem Exchange and Teams.
Azure, AWS and GCP certifications preferred.
