Who we are looking for

Lucky for you, we have an immediate opening for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer. Do you remember how MacGyver was able to handle the most complex challenges like saving a derailed train or opening that plastic packaging for headphones without using dynamite? And how he did it all with a ball-point pen, paperclips, and a sock? That’s what we need, but for digital challenges that come with managing and leveraging a world-class infrastructure supporting billions of daily requests. What you need to get the job done

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or similar technical field
• 5 years experience with SysAdmin or complex infrastructure development
• Extensive experience with network performance diagnostics and tuning
• Strong expertise with CI/CD principles and Git
• Experience with Linux administration
• In-depth knowledge of automation tools and Bash scripting
• Experience with the containerization orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Nomad and Terraform
• Experience using HTTP load balancer or proxies such as HAproxy and monitoring tools like Grafana
• Some programming experience, including Go, would be helpful
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and changing priorities
• Skilled at taking large and complex stated outcomes and working to find meaningful solutions with associated tasks

• Keep CI/CD production systems running, secured, updated, and monitored
• Ensure system security in hostile environments by maintaining a robust monitoring and alerting system
• Solve complex issues in the production environment while identifying bottlenecks and optimizing efficiencies
• Stay at the forefront of technological expertise by identifying industry trends and technologies that will help Smarty achieve key outcomes
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers to support career development
• Participate in company cultural training initiatives, including Arbinger methodologies, and apply learned principles in your work and in your interactions with others
• Work hard, master your craft, and enjoy the journey - boldly going where no SaaS company has gone before
