Join our dynamic specialty practice located in Mandeville, Slidell, Metairie, and Hammond, Louisiana, as a Full-Time Medical Assistant. As an integral part of our team, you'll support our providers in delivering top-tier medical care to our valued patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inputting patient clinical history, medications, and more into our EMR system.
  • Preparing patients for provider encounters.
  • Assisting providers with documenting encounters in the EMR system.
  • Pre-authorizing prescriptions, orders, procedures, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Ordering medical supplies following practice guidelines.
  • Sterilizing and maintaining medical instruments and ensuring a clean, sanitary environment for patients and staff.

Requirements:

  • Strong grasp of medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in the insurance authorization process.
  • Exceptional communication skills with patients, physicians, colleagues, and insurance carriers.
  • Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks with precision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with modern office procedures, equipment, and strong computer skills.
  • Capacity to stay focused in a fast-paced work environment.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
  • BLS Certification (Preferred)
