About Us: Slater Seibert is dynamic and rapidly growing law firm dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to our clients. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis at our Troy, Michigan.

Position Overview We are currently seeking an Office Assistant to play a pivotal role in the efficient functioning of our Troy office. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various administrative tasks, including managing incoming and outgoing mail, scanning documents into our case management software, downloading essential files, and providing general administrative support to our legal team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scan incoming mail and documents into our case management software system with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Download and organize electronic documents from various sources, ensuring proper filing and organization.
  • Assist with data entry tasks, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in our case management software.
  • Answering and directing phone calls.
  • Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by management.

Experience:

  • Prior experience in a records management or administrative role, preferably in a legal setting.
  • Proficiency with office software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Familiarity with Clio legal case management software is a plus.
