Job Summary
The Human Resources Generalist acts as primary point of contact for employees and managers, within assigned areas for Human Resources and employment related matters. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing high customer service and quality standards for HR support to employees, managers, and leaders. This position is primarily transactional and task-driven; however requires initiative, critical thinking and follow-through skills. The Human Resources Generalist also provides support with the development, customization and implementation of HR solutions.
Essential Functions
Partner closely with HR Strategic Partners on employee matters. The Generalist will work with other team members throughout the other human resources functions (including Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Leaves, Compensation, Integration, Business Center, Legal and Employment Council) ensuring services are delivered in an efficient and effective manner. Conduct research and data gathering to prepare HR analytics and HR metric reports Resolve basic problems relating to organizational policies and procedures Escalate and redirect complex inquiries as appropriate to Human Resource Business Partners. Research and prepare unemployment claims. Responsible for tracking professional licensing and certifications as needed. Provide support in preparation for DNV audits.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in lieu of degree .
Experience/Training
1-3 Years of Human Resources experience. PHR or SPHR preferred.

Repetitive tasks such as typing, sitting, answering phones, and interacting with computers and computer systems most of the day is a function of the position. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus. This position requires working in an indoor, environmentally controlled environment when in the office. Eligible employees also receive sick time pay.
