Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers is Hiring a Prevention Manager Near Milwaukee, WI
Job Responsibilities:
Provides strategic management and oversight for outreach activities aligned with Harm Reduction best practices, including the identification of individuals at high risk for HIV infection, increase education and awareness about prevention services and facilitate access to Counseling Testing and Referrals (CRT).
Implement best practices in Harm Reduction by staying up to date on research, education, community resources contributing to the overall success of outreach and prevention initiatives and strategies.
Provide direct supervision and monitor progress toward achieving goals established or required by grants, department strategic plan and other requirements as identified.
Conduct annual evaluations and provide feedback, support and coaching to Prevention staff.
Ensure appropriate and effective staffing levels to generate necessary programmatic outputs and outcomes.
In collaboration with the VP of Community Health, participate in annual strategic planning and lead the facilitation of regular staff meetings, professional development, implementation of agency and departmental policies, and corrective actions when necessary.
Maintain a data dashboard to monitor and evaluate agreed upon metrics in collaboration with the VP of community health.
Develop and maintain effective administrative policies and procedures necessary to carry out prevention initiatives and strategies in safe, equitable manner in compliance with grant and clinic operations.
Engage in collaborative efforts in quality improvement, such as clinic referrals, access to care and working across departments to improve patient care.
Participate in the identification of future grant opportunities and the preparation of grant proposals, budgets, and reports.
Ensure compliance with protocol and quality management of Syringe Exchange Program.
Complete periodic reports and program audits required by funders and for quality management and improvement.
Assess and evaluate available data to identify high-risk individuals and areas within the SSCHC service area for testing, counseling and prevention services.
Participate in hiring processes for vacant positions, conduct orientation and coordinate training activities for new Prevention Program staff.
Contribute to the growth and strategic management of SSCHC by participating in agency-wide standing committees and ad-hoc work groups as necessary.
Build meaningful multi-sector partnerships and relationships in support of strategies and goals for the Harm Reduction program, including facilitating of the Community Advisory Board.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration or public health related field preferred; consideration will be made for a suitable combination of previous academic and professional experience.
At least one year of supervisory experience preferred.
Successful experience leading and motivating teams and/or experience developing outreach and programming in community settings.
Knowledge of Harm Reduction and HIV Prevention. At least two years' experience is preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups; workshop and community coalition facilitation experience is a plus.
Strong computer skills including experience with MS Office applications, using the Internet and data collection and management platforms. Knowledge and experience working with an electronic health record system is ideal.
Knowledge of sexual health, HIV and recreational and prescription drug use behavior helpful.
Successful experience working with ethnic, racial, economic and sexually diverse populations.
Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Must possess reliable transportation, a valid Wisconsin driver's license and maintain the minimum Wisconsin vehicle insurance requirements.
