The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for the overall direction and management of the Nursing Department and certain clinical services disciplines. The DON communicates and implements policies, procedures, and standards of practice necessary to attain/maintain quality of life and quality of care of residents, and federal and/or state regulatory compliance, while meeting budgetary requirements. The DON will demonstrate clinical expertise in accord with licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
