The Sisters of Charity Health System corporate office is recruiting a Senior Staff Accountant. The Sr. Staff Accountant reports to the Controller and performs accounting and financial reporting functions, including posting and processing of transactions and reporting of financial operations for multiple entities. Processes weekly A/P checks for multiple entities including system entry and check production and will also support payroll as needed. Maintains and prepares monthly financial statements and grant reports. Assists entity leadership in preparation of annual budgets and the Controller with the annual audit; prepares annual tax returns and other filings.
Bachelor's degree with business major in accounting; two to three years previous accounting/financial experience. Non-profit experience preferred. Able to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong oral and written communication skills are required, as well as organizational skills and the ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously with accuracy and attention to detail. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required.
