Singer Industrial is Hiring a Remote Inside Sales Representative
Job Summary:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develops pricing quotes and proposals as requested from outside sales representatives as well as directly from customers.
- Accepts and enters data necessary for customer orders via phone, internet, and walk-in, as well as from outside sales employees.
- Makes outbound calls to current and potential customers to rekindle relationships with customers.
- Works with company sourcing representatives to expedite out-of-stock products and special orders.
- Research alternative products and manufacturers per specs provided by customers.
- Estimates date of delivery, based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules.
- Builds and maintains customer relationships.
- Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
- Works with outside sales representatives to keep account activities up to date.
- Investigates and resolves customer problems with orders and deliveries.
- Processes product returns upon authorization.
- Works to resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Keeps up to date with manufacturers’ products and training to customers.
- Provides regular backup to store counter for walk-ins and will-calls.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to research and compile data for quotes and to educate customers.
- Ability to identify and efficiently solve problems.
- Understanding of inventory management
- Excellent customer service skills
- Professional communication skills
- Negotiation experience
- CRM experience strongly preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience
