Simple Technology Solutions is looking for a Security Engineer IIIto add to our team.

Quick Position Overview:

• Must be either a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien (No H1 visa holders)
• Bachelor's Degree is required
• minimum of 5 years position related experience is required
• All candidates will require a Department of Homeland Security TSA Clearance to work on this program.
• Agile Certification

The Role:

As a Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and privacy of TSA's human capital technology solution and its customers. Leveraging your expertise in security and system engineering, you will be responsible for managing the proper configuration of business processes to align with TSA and Federal cybersecurity standards and best practices. Your tasks will include documenting and managing vulnerabilities and issues through Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs), implementing security controls, collaborating with government Information Security Officers (ISOs), and supporting accreditation milestones. You will work in an agile team setup across multiple technologies and collaborate closely with functional analysts and client users.

Role Responsibilities:

• Documentation and Management of Security Issues and Standards: 60%
• Investigations and Troubleshooting/Analysis of Security Issues: 20%
• Security Control Implementation: 10%
• Reporting of Status and Interacting with Customer ISOs: 10%

Education and Experience:

Required

• Minimum 5 years of experience Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• 3 years of experience in large and complex IT projects, preferably in the Human Capital space
• 3 years of experience with security incident/problem/change management and reporting
• 3 years of experience with supporting Authorizations to Operate (ATOs) for Federal agencies
• Proven experience and knowledge of NIST 800-53 and Federal ATO processes
• Proven ability to learn and adopt new technologies
• Must be able to work the hours of 8am-5pm Eastern Time regardless of your home location

• Agile certification

Preferred Skills

• System administration and/or other hands-on technical experience
• Experience with human capital systems, especially in support of Federal customers
