This role supports the Headquarters Air Education and Training Command (HQ AETC), tasked to develop foundational and occupational competencies. This Air Force enterprise-wide effort requires project structure and rigor for competency development of more than 250 career fields, foundational competencies and other competencies as required by the Government.

Essential Role and Responsibilities

• Will provide joint planning subject matter expertise to analyze training programs for integration of joint planning and execution.
• Facilitate up to three OPT’s or process improvement events simultaneously.
• Research and develop government-furnished information for courseware development.
• Review training courseware for accuracy and content.
• Provide competency-based analysis of assigned training and provide recommendations for integration of joint operations training.
• Provide accurate and timely responses to assigned tasks. Provide briefs and reports when required to senior leadership.
• Attend meeting and/or conferences when assigned by PM TPOC.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree.

Experience

• 8 years direct DoD acquisition management experience.
• 2 years of experience as a Project Manager.
• 3 years in information or learning management.
• Experience action officer or planner on regional CCMD joint staff or service component.
• Requires experience as member of operational planning team or group.
• Working knowledge of Joint Planning – Five (JP-5).

Certification

• Preferred a current Project Management Professional certification (e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP).

Additional training requirements

At least two of the following training courses or sister service equivalent:

• Joint Air Operations Planning Course
• Joint Planning Support Element
• Intermediate Service School or Senior NCO Service PME
• Joint Advanced Warfighting School
• Joint Task Force Staff Basic Course
• Contingency Wartime Planning Course
