POSITION PURPOSE :

Assists the production team with various tasks, typically labor-intensive and repeated, to ensure smooth manufacturing processes.

B. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assembles boxes, inserts bags, and applies appropriate labels for packaged products. Assembles Gaylords, inserts bags, and moves products to proper locations in the warehouse.

Opens and dumps product into the hopper and returns carton to the production line. Ensures cartons and bags are correctly closed before moving to carton sealer.

Keeps work area clean and organized. Follows all safety procedures. Observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions;

use equipment and materials properly. Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety, and HACCP Pre-requisite Programs related to activities performed for this position.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Three to six months related experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Skills and Abilities

Ability to use tape gun and pallet jack. A fair amount of coordination is required to be successful in the Job.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and handbooks. Ability to speak effectively with all team members and supervisors.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- and two-step written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.
