Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for a variety of Human Resources functions including personnel management, benefits administration, HRIS administration (including basic payroll functions), training and recruitment. The primary function will be heavily focused on recruitment, both for entry level positions and assisting the Director of HR with more senior positions. This position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.

Responsibilities:

• Full cycle, active sourcing/recruitment for assigned positions
• Schedules and organizes complex interviews
• Prepares job postings and posts to specified career boards and social media sites
• Interacts with and supplies information to job applicants, employees, department heads, and public/private employment agencies.
• Maintains professional relationships with universities, community resources, and employment agencies
• Performs HRIS date entry and personnel file maintenance
• Assists with new hire orientations and training
• Assists with Benefits administration
• Maintains confidential personnel files and personnel actions
• Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures
• Provides clerical and operational support to Director of HR
• Assist with Employee Engagement event execution
• Become an expert on Lamb’s story and culture

Qualifications

• College degree required
• 1-3 years of relevant experience
• PHR preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent computer skills - Word, Excel, Power Point, ability to learn new software programs easily
• Highly creative
• Strong social media experience (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc)
• Organized, detail-oriented, and thorough
• Outgoing and customer service focused
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Must be able to manage rotating priorities and multi-task
• Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize workload
