Sightline Hospitality is seeking Runners (Full-time and Part-time) for the Pepper Club Restaurant located in The English Hotel in Las Vegas. 
About the Hotel and Restaurant
The English Hotel located in the Arts District of Las Vegas features74 rooms with 11 private patios, and 12 upper floor suites. Top Chef Todd English’s signature restaurant is a feature of this modern hotel which embraces the art district culture. The hotel and restaurant creates a new and authentic and artistic experience for both locals and tourists.

Job Responsibilities
  • To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner, deferring to the Food and Beverage Manager/Restaurant Manager when necessary, to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Set up station in the kitchen.
  • To extend a courteous, friendly and professional greeting to guests as they arrive, and to thank them as they depart.
  • Delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately
  • Acting as the point of contact between Front of the House and Back of the House staff
  • Communicating food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities (e.g. food allergies)
  • Assist the wait staff in the service of food in accordance with the established standards.
  • Assist in table set up and cleaning. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the restaurant in all areas.
  • Assist the wait staff with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins
  • Serve welcome drinks and hors d’oeuvres, upon guests’ arrival
  • Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature)
  • Check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as needed
  • Remove dirty dishes and utensils
  • Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items
  • Inform restaurant staff about customers’ feedback or requests (e.g. when they ask for the check)
  • Maintain the orderly upkeep of coolers and storage areas.
  • To make the Food and Beverage Manager aware of all guest comments and complaints.
  • To maintain the proper care and cleanliness of tableware and serving equipment, handling both to minimize breakage.
  • To follow all company policies and procedures.
  • To immediately report all suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.
  • To maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas at all times.
  • Follow all company safety standards, including proper equipment handling to avoid injury to yourself and others.
  • To attend all mandatory meetings as directed.
  • To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.
Essential Experience/Aptitudes:
  • Fluency in the local language (verbal and written) is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some prior food service experience in food service and display basic knowledge of foods and beverages, service standards and procedures. 
  • Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including weekends
  • Multi-tasking abilities
  • Good oral communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment
