The Benefits Coordinator provides a variety of support functions to the Human Resources department to ensure efficient operation. The Benefits Coordinator will be responsible for internal customer service functions as well as facilitating benefits and onboarding processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidential personnel files with documentation such as on-boarding paperwork, benefits enrollment, LOA applications.
  • Provides administrative support with new hire onboarding by gathering pre-hire documentation from applicants and processing through the HRIS system.
  • Partners with HR Coordinator to deliver virtual employee orientation weekly.
  • Assists with open enrollment preparation and meetings.
  • Responsible for monthly and new hire benefit communications company-wide.
  • Assists with LOA tracking and communication.
  • Assist with 401k deferrals and loan entries.
  • Assist with HSA administration.
  • Answer day-to-day employee benefit and general HR inquiries.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Occasional scanning, faxing, mailing, receptionist backup or other clerical duties.
  • Completion of any HR related administrative projects as requested.
  • Must be able to travel 10% of the time.

Qualifications


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Competent computer skills, especially in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Comfortably interact with individuals of all professional levels
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • Must be trustworthy as the position requires access to confidential employee information
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record as position requires 10% travel

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma (or GED Equivalent)
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent experience preferred.
  • At least two years of Benefits experience required.
  • Paycom experience a plus.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
