ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP

Our Graphic Design Internship was created to develop and invest in future marketing leaders. The Graphic Design Intern is hired for a 10-week experience where they learn the fundamentals of graphic design, brand strategy, and development of creative collateral, as well as experiencing the culture of ShopCore. This position is based out of ShopCore’s headquarters in Chicago, IL. The Graphic Design Intern is a key position on the Marketing team primarily responsible for owning short term special projects.

Our 2024 summer internship program will begin June 2024 and last through August 2024. To be eligible, you must be a college student during the time of the internship program.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the design and production of corporate and Shopping Center Marketing collateral materials, including print (property signage, brochures, etc.) and digital (MailChimp, Eventbrite, website, banner ads, social media posts, etc.).
• Assist in maintaining brand identity and visual strategy by ensuring consistency across all designs.
• Participate in designing corporate marketing collateral in support of ShopCore's leasing and development efforts.
• Understand user interface and experience design pertaining to websites.
• Responsible for all photo editing and resizing for print and digital.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work in Chicago in a full-time capacity for 10 weeks, beginning in June of 2024.
• Current undergraduate student at an accredited four-year institution (graduating 2025).
• Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design or Visual Communications.
• Please provide a link to your required portfolio of work.
• Minimum GPA of 3.5.
• Familiarity with the creative problem solving process preferred.
• General proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
• General proficiency in PowerPoint a plus.
