Description

The role of the Accounts Payable Specialist involves providing financial, administrative, and clerical support to the organization. Their role is to control expenses by processing, verifying and reconciling invoices as well as recording payments. This job entails day-to-day management of all payment cycle activities in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities, Skills & Hands-On Experience

Accounts Payable:
- Process high volume of invoices.
- Obtain proper approvals and perform 3-way matching.
- Post invoices or credit memos accurately and in proper period.
- Create vendor records and maintain W-9 and W8-BEN information.
- Respond to vendor inquiries.
- Reconcile vendor account statements and resolve discrepancies with vendors as they arise.
- Assist with 1099 preparation.
CA Sales/Use Tax:
- Ensure CA Sales/Use Tax are accrued properly.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education & Work Experience

HS diploma (AA degree preferred) or relevant courses.
0-2 years of AP and some GL work experience.
Basic bookkeeping, data entry and computer skills required.
Must be able prioritize and manage competing priorities.
Experience in efficiently processing high volumes preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to function in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Effective communication, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels.
Experience with Bill.com and/or QuickBooks Online a plus.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.

Our salary ranges are calculated by role and level. Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications. In addition to those factors, we also examine internal equity as well as consider current market rate, and title may be assessed one level lower or higher accordingly. After you join the company your performance, contributions, and results along with business and organizational needs will affect your base salary. The base salary range for this position is between $30 - $35 per hour.
