Job Title: HR Coordinator
Location: Primary Office in Sheraton Virginia Beach Oceanfront
We are looking for an experienced HR Coordinator to join us on the Oceanfront!
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our team on the Oceanfront. The HR Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting various human resources functions, ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's workforce.
Reports to: Area HR Manager
Responsibilities:
Onboarding and Recruitment: Facilitate onboarding and recruitment support to the Area HR Team.
Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns. Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Benefits Administration: Assist employees with benefit enrollment and inquiries.
Training and Development: Coordinate employee training programs and development initiatives with the Area HR team. Assist in identifying training needs, scheduling training sessions, and tracking employee participation.
HR Compliance: Stay informed about federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant HR laws and regulations. Support Safety and Risk Management tracking requirements per corporate policy.
HR Administration: Provide administrative support to the HR department, including maintaining HR databases, preparing reports, and managing documentation.
Employee Recognition: Support employee recognition programs and initiatives to foster a positive work environment and employee morale.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
1 year experience in human resources role Required.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel to other hotels within 5 blocks of the Sheraton Virginia Beach.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Knowledge of employment laws and regulations is a plus.
Availability to work Monday-Friday, 9-5.
