New York consumer law firm seeks Massachusetts-licensed and based attorney to act as co-counsel and local counsel in legal actions which may be filed in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts.

This office will prepare documents for possible filing subject to the review of a licensed attorney in the jurisdiction in question.

This is a good position for an attorney who likes working on behalf of consumers, anyone seeking part-time work, or someone who wishes to learn more about a new area of the law.

It is difficult to estimate time requirement because my office has no cases in Massachusetts courts at this time.

Responsibilities:

• Be designated as Local Counsel on cases where firm is representing plaintiffs in federal and state courts in Massachusetts
• File documents in in federal and state courts in Massachusetts on behalf of Massachusetts consumers

Requirements:

• Admission to Massachusetts Bar
• Admission to federal district court in Massachusetts
• Enjoys representing consumers

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $100.00 - $200.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 5 per week
