She Imagined Sweets is Hiring a Baker Near Montclair, NJ
About Us: She Imagined Sweets is a dessert company specializing in bite-sized cheesecake and other small desserts! Join our team of creatives this summer as we open our dessert shop.
Role and Responsibilities: As a Creative Baker at She Imagined Sweets, you will:
- Bake and decorate our signature bite-sized cheesecakes and other desserts at our shared kitchen in Orange, New Jersey.
- Package all baked products in preparation for delivery to shop in Montclair, NJ.
- Utilize your background in bake shop environments to ensure efficient and high-quality production.
- Assist in off site dessert table displays throughout NJ and dessert parties.
- Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods such as unique cupcakes, brownies and more
- Follow recipes and measurements accurately to ensure consistent quality
- Decorate pastries with precision and creativity
- Monitor oven temperatures and adjust baking times as needed
- Maintain inventory of baking ingredients and supplies
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate baking schedules for catering events or special orders
- Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items Including vegan, dairy and gluten free.
Qualifications: We're looking for candidates who possess:
-ServSafe certification or will have certification within first 30 days of hire.
- Proven experience in creation dairy, vegan and gluten free desserts.
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety procedures
- Strong understanding of baking techniques and principles
- Ability to operate various baking equipment and tools, including mixers, ovens, and knives
- Attention to detail for accurate measurements and decorating
- Creativity in cake decorating and pastry presentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines
