Shafer, Troxell & Howe, Inc is Hiring an Outside Sales, Commercial Aftermarket Fire Sales Representative Near Frederick, MD

STH provides solutions through system application, analysis, sales, and service of engineered products. The Commercial Aftermarket Fire Sales Representative is an outside sales position calling on commercial sprinkler contractors to secure aftermarket fire equipment sales, specifically, fire pumps/fire pump controllers and other related fire product lines represented by STH. Ideally, candidate must have an understanding fire pumps, fire pump controllers and related NFPA codes. In addition, they must have strong technical aptitude, interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and sustain long-term relationships.

Job Responsibilities

  • Promote, market, and sell all STH fire related products and services such as preventative maintenance agreements.
  • Required to be out making sales calls 3-4 days per week. (4-6 calls per day)
  • Qualify prospects and preform lead follow up to build a consistent pipeline of customers and sales opportunities to meet and maintain sales performance goals.
  • Build and maintain internal relationships across teams at STH including the service team, to make sure the customer receives the best customer service.
  • Coordinate with inside support staff for all project-related tasks.
  • Properly submit orders to inside support staff utilizing STH policy and procedures.
  • Coordinate with estimating team and engineering teams for final project pricing and pump selections.
  • Perform sales calls to customer locations, including corporate headquarters and job sites.
  • Recommend changes in products and services by evaluating project details and customer needs.
  • Provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
