Job Title: Critical Care, Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Concord, MA

Blended Rate: $2520/wk

Local rate: $2340/wk

Shift: 3x12s - 36hrs - Nights

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our dedicated healthcare team in Concord, MA. As a Critical Care RN, you will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) or other critical care settings. Your primary focus will be to monitor and manage patients with life-threatening conditions, ensuring their safety and promoting their overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and evaluate the condition of critically ill patients continuously, using advanced monitoring equipment and diagnostics.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as directed by the physician or healthcare team to promote patient recovery and stability.
  • Monitor and interpret complex data from various technological equipment including ventilators, hemodynamic monitors, and cardiac devices.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families, ensuring effective communication and education to promote their understanding of the condition, treatment plan, and prognosis.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and response to treatment accurately and efficiently in electronic medical records.
  • Act swiftly and effectively during emergency situations, demonstrating proficiency in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and other critical care interventions.
  • Communicate and collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure appropriate patient care and interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Stay abreast of the latest healthcare practices, guidelines, and protocols related to critical care nursing, and actively participate in ongoing professional development activities.

Requirements:

  • Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting, preferably in a critical care environment.
  • Certification in critical care nursing such as Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) or equivalent is highly desired.
  • Excellent knowledge of critical care principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficient in operating advanced medical equipment and interpreting complex patient data.
  • Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress environments and adapt quickly to changing situations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered care with empathy, compassion, and professionalism.
