Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Medsurg Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Rochester, NY. This position offers a competitive weekly pay of $3840 and requires working four 12-hour shifts per week with rotating day, evening, and night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients with cardiac conditions in a medical-surgical setting. Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, and implement appropriate interventions.
• Safely administer prescribed medications, including cardiac medications, and monitor patients for adverse reactions or side effects. Educate patients and families about medication regimens and lifestyle modifications.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, specialists, and other nurses, to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Utilize advanced monitoring equipment to track patient vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and other pertinent health indicators. Interpret data and notify the healthcare team of any significant changes in patient conditions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including care plans, treatment protocols, and progress notes, in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Educate patients and their families about their health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions. Provide resources and support for ongoing health management.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, including cardiac arrest and other life-threatening events. Perform advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS) as needed.
• Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, ensuring patient safety and quality of care at all times.

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a cardiac or medical-surgical setting preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Willingness to work rotating day, evening, and night shifts as scheduled.
