Job Title: Registered Nurse - Neuro Medsurg

Location: Rochester, NY

Rate: $3600 Weekly

Shift: 48hrs - 4x12hrs - D/E/N Rotating Shifts

Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Neuro Medsurg RN to join our team at a prestigious hospital in Rochester, NY. As a Neuro Medsurg RN, you will be responsible for providing quality and efficient care to patients undergoing neurosurgery and medical intervention for neurological conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor, assess, and document patient responses to treatments and medications
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
• Prepare and educate patients and their families about procedures, treatments, and medications
• Assist physicians with patient evaluations, assessments, and interventions
• Perform nursing procedures such as catheterization, wound care, and tracheostomy care
• Utilize specialized equipment such as IV pumps, ventilators, and feeding tubes
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with the healthcare team members, including physicians, physical therapists, and social workers
• Ensure that quality and safety standards are met in patient care delivery
• Continuously update knowledge of neurosurgical and neurological conditions, treatments, and medications

Requirements:

• A valid RN license in the state of New York
• A bachelor's or associate's degree in nursing from an accredited program
• At least 1 years of nursing experience in a neurosurgery or neurological medical-surgical unit
• ACLS and BLS certification
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
• Flexibility to work on different shifts, including weekends and holidays
