By joining our team, you can be a part of this important transformation.Job SummaryThe HR Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support the Human Resources department in fulfilling their objectives and to ensure the day-to-day operations are running smoothly. The HR Assistant will play a key part in ensuring employee success and satisfaction.
 
The job will include the following duties and responsibilities, but is not limited to:Support benefits administration including regular maintenance of benefits systems. Support during Open Enrollment periods.Conduct or assist with new hire onboarding to ensure all aspects of the process are completed on a timely basis.
Maintain accurate and up to date HRIS system including status changes. Provide support to employees with frequently asked questions regarding the payroll and HRIS system.Assist with payroll as needed.Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files, records, and documentation including personnel files. Perform regular audits to ensure all compliance documents are met and appropriately filed. Assist with annual audits regarding all personnel documentation.Maintain accurate and up to date job postings. Maintain accurate and up to date emails and email distribution lists. Serve as a reliable and considerate point of contact for employee questions and provide answers or resources or refer to HR department as needed.
Complete employee forms as requested, such as verification of employment, license renewal, other. Provide clerical support to HR department including responsibility for mail, voicemails, and other. Conduct or assist with employee events such as end of year, professional development events, and other events.
Other duties as assigned including special projects.Qualifications and Skills
  • Alignment with Seton Catholic Schools mission and values.
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Office 365, and Google docs required.
  • HRIS system experience required.
  • Previous relevant HR experience of 1-3 years minimum.
  • Ability to appropriately manage sensitive and confidential information in all HR matters.
  • Demonstrated interest in promoting academic excellence in an educational environment.
  • Demonstrated interest and ability to serve all of Seton Catholic School’s customers and constituencies.
  • Experience in a school environment preferred.
  • Associate’s degree or higher.
