Serviam USA LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Guard to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients, their property, and staff.
Salary Range: $35,000 - $40,000 annually
Responsibilities:
Understand client assignments thoroughly and clarify all details before starting.
Maintain a safe and secure environment by protecting client property and staff.
Patrol assigned areas, observe surroundings, and de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
Investigate disturbances, report signs of crime or disorder, and take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
Act lawfully in defense of protected individuals, property, and the environment.
Remove individuals violating site rules and apprehend criminals when necessary.
Report all suspicious incidents in detail to the client and direct supervisor.
Review and understand the previous day's incidents and take appropriate action.
Monitor alarm systems or video cameras and operate detection/emergency equipment.
Perform first aid or CPR as needed.
Track and report all hours worked daily.
Collaborate effectively with other security personnel to fulfill client needs.
Offer suggestions for improving customer service specific to client circumstances.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Trained security officer with a diploma and high school degree (or equivalent experience).
A bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
In-depth knowledge of security policies, procedures, protocols, and applicable law.
Ability to work independently with strong focus and self-direction.
Skills:
Exceptional surveillance skills and a keen eye for detail.
Ability to identify suspicious activity, changes in behavior, and environmental shifts.
Capacity to act with integrity and professionalism in all situations.
Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication for interaction with clients, visitors, colleagues, and employers.
Absolute discretion and confidentiality are essential.
Proficiency in operating emergency equipment and intruder detection systems (alarms, monitoring equipment, phones).
Additional Skills & Experience Preferred:
Conflict resolution training or equivalent experience.
Background in law enforcement or military service is a plus.
Physical strength and agility are sufficient to apprehend and detain individuals until law enforcement arrives.
First aid and/or CPR certification is highly desired.
