The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. Reports to Accounting Manager.

• Maintains financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
• Owns the close process for multiple subsidiaries
• Prepares journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations/ sub-ledgers and assisting with monthly close processes
• Contributes to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections
• Maintains documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conducting internal audits
• Performs monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Meets processing and reporting deadlines
• Responds to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits
• Ensures compliance with GAAP
• Provides initial review of financials and supporting files
• Organizes transactions and support for federal, state, local, and special tax returns. 
• Other duties as assigned

• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
• NetSuite experience required

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required;
• 5 years’ progressively responsible experience;
• Multi-entity or Shared services experience required; startup experience highly desired;
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
