We are seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to join our team and provide essential support in payroll, HR data management, benefit administration, and general office tasks. This role will also assist the administrative team with some accounting and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of administrative functions within the HR and C-Suite departments.
Responsibilities:
1. Payroll Administration:
- Process payroll accurately and timely in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and tax requirements.
- Address employee inquiries related to payroll and assist in resolving issues promptly.
2. HR Data Management:
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations regarding record-keeping and confidentiality.
- Maintain employee records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with on-boarding and off-boarding processes, including paperwork and orientation materials.
- Administer the screening process for all new hires to include background checks, pre-employment drug screens, background checks and driver’s license checks prior to their start date. Prepare new hire offer letters and packages. Conduct new hire orientations. Verify I-9s are documented properly. Process E-Verify for each employee.
- Manage benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries; communicate benefits information to employees. Set up and process monthly employee contributions.
3. Additional Tasks:
- Greet visitors, answer phone calls, and respond to inquiries professionally and courteously.
- Manage office supplies inventory and place orders as needed.
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for executive team and other department managers.
- Assist with accounting related tasks.
- Assist in organizing company events and functions.
- Manage outgoing/incoming mail for the Executives.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in administrative roles, particularly in HR.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks/Visual).
- Strong understanding of payroll processes and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
