Hourly Key Manager - TBB 122

Pay range $17/Hr to $21/Hr based on experience

Job Brief

Hourly Cafe Restaurant Manager responsibilities include monitoring daily expenses and revenues, administrative duties including some ordering of supplies, training of staff, and leading the guest experience. Key manager should be available to work during opening and closing hours, including weekends and holidays. Ultimately, you will help increase profitability, boost customer engagement, turn our cafe into a favorite local spot and get hands on managerial training with potential to grow in a well-established industry leader.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the cafe restaurant.
  • Assist in hire and onboard new wait staff and baristas.
  • Train employees on drinks preparation and proper use of coffee equipment
  • Coordinate with vendors and order supplies, as needed (Ex: To go cups, coffee, milk and other ingredients)
  • Maintain updated records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expenses.
  • Add new menu items based on seasonality and customers’ preferences (for example vegan coffee drinks)
  • Advise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with clients and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Ensure all cafe areas are clean and tidy.
  • Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation.

Requirements and Skills

  • Work experience as a restaurant Key Manager/Barista/Sommelier
  • Experience in creating, executing and driving a "Drink Program" in a full service restaurant
  • Hands-on experience with professional coffee machines, wine and spirits is a plus
  • Basic math skills
  • Availability to work within opening and closing hours (including weekends and holidays)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Ability to lead the guest experience with an attention to detail and the highest standards of service.
