The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks and ensuring the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. Adhere to internal control policies and assist in improving financial processes and procedures to ensure compliance.
Responsibilities:

• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions.
• Reconcile accounts receivable cash
• Reconcile revenues/gratuities reporting
• Bank Reconciliations: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to match the company's records with bank statements.
• Fixed Asset Management: Maintain fixed asset records, track capital expenditures, track to Deprecation schedules.
• Month-end and Year-end Close: Participate in the month-end and year-end closing processes and schedules, per Company procedures .
• Reconciliation of Intercompany Transactions: Review and reconcile intercompany accounts with subsidiary companies.
• Prepaid Schedules-Updated monthly- ensure schedule tie to G/L
• Reconciliation of Payroll quarters - Payroll Tax Liabilities to G/L
• Worker Comp calculations for monthly reporting.
• Local- State Tax Compliance: Sales Tax return preparation, Business License filings. secondary to Controller when needed

Good to Have

• Expense Analysis: Monitor and analyze expenses, identifying areas for cost-saving opportunities, and assisting in budget preparation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Demonstrated experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, GAAP, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, especially Excel, Pivot Tables.
• CPA or CMA Certifications are preferred but not required
