SDI Staffing is Hiring a Bilingual Director of Human Resources Near San Diego, CA

Bilingual Director of Human Resources needed for a large insurance company thats growing!
This position is hybrid, based in San Diego, and the ideal candidate will have multi-state experience, as well as a Global Entry/SENTRI pass.This company is invested in the growth of their employees and is seeking a Director who holds the same values. This role will have you overseeing HR strategies, policies, and programs to ensure compliance with state and federal laws. You will also help drive organizational change and foster a positive work environment! Key Details:
  • HOURS : Full-Time Hours, Mon-Fri, 8:00AM-5:00PM.
  • DURATION : Direct Hire
  • PAY : $115,000 - $125,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • WORKSITE: This position is hybrid, with 3 days in office in San Diego and travel to their Mexico offices. Travel is paid for!

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and administer HR policies in line with corporate objectives and legal requirements.
  • Implement retention strategies and succession planning.
  • Direct training programs and career development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior management on HR strategies supporting growth.
  • Mentor and lead a small HR team.
  • Stay updated on HR trends and best practices.
  • Liaise with parent company HR team in Mexico
  • Regular presence to their cross border offices
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:
  • Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
  • Experience with COBRA, FMLA, ACA, and state/federal regulations.
  • Multi-state HR experience preferred.
  • 7-10 years HR experience; 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of California HR laws.
  • Proven track record in organizational change management.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strategic problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish (professional working proficiency).
  • Bachelors degree in HR or related field; relevant certifications required.
  • Familiarity with PEO platforms and HR metrics.
